The 3 days Tsavo safari lets you explore both Tsavo East and Tsavo West National Parks of Kenya. It involves you spending one night in each of the parks while on Kenya safari. Tsavo East National Park is one of the top safari parks in Kenya and shelters the big 5 game. Tsavo East National Park was designated as a national park in 1948 and it is set along the semi-arid western region, close to Voi Town. It occupies 13747sq.kms of land area making it also one of the largest parks in Kenya and East Africa at large.
On the other hand, Tsavo West National Park is popular for its own unique attractions. It has a rhino sanctuary which is its one exceptional center of attraction. This park is as well blessed with variety of hippos, hippos, the scenic Mzima springs, Shetani Lava flows, rugged wilderness, cheetahs, flora, buffaloes, elephants, birds like Basra reed warblers. The Tsavo parks are situated between Nairobi and Mombasa, both stretching to cover over a total of 22, 000sq.kms.
Detailed itinerary
Day 1: From Nairobi capital drive to Tsavo East National park
Have an early morning breakfast and later, head to Tsavo East National Park. This protected area is famous for its huge concentration of elephants. Lunch will be provided to you upon early arrival at the lodge in Tsavo East.
After, go for an afternoon game drive with expectations to see a profusion of elephants, lions, cheetahs, giraffes, birds, buffaloes and so much more.
Day 2: Transfer from Tsavo East to Tsavo West National Park after breakfast
After a heavy leisurely breakfast, drive to Tsavo West National Park from Tsavo East. Today, you will have a chance to visit the resident Rhino sanctuary which is one of the iconic attractions in this pristine park. You will retire for a night in the booked lodge.
Day 3: Leave Tsavo West National park to Nairobi
Get up early in the morning and have enjoyable breakfast. After, go explore Tsavo West on a game drive that lets you see wildlife species like lions, elephants, birds and many more.
Later, lunch will be provided to you and then you head to Nairobi for drop off to your place of residence/hotel or airport.
