4 Days Double Gorilla Trekking Bwindi

Only interesting experiences are done repeatedly. In your 4 days’ vacation, encountering Gorillas two times means Fun, a wealth of knowledge in regards to the Apes, and comfort. Gorillas are Mans closest relative with over 98% DNA and almost the same behavior; spending their lives at large in the vast forest, where they feed, play and sleep.

Only in the continent of Africa can you find these rare creatures. You will trek two unique families, spend nights in exotic suitable accommodation facilities, have timely activities, and also get transported on comfortable means, and in a very breathtaking route. The pickup and drop-off point is at Entebbe international airport.

Detailed Trip.

Day 1: Pickup and Transfer to Bwindi N/park.

Once at the airport or pickup point; our company guide will gladly meet and brief you about the entire experience. A few questions may be answered, as coffee flows into the Belly. Thereafter the 8-9 hour scenic drive to corners of Uganda- southern western part commences, traversing undulating Hills, busy cities, scattered homesteads and captivating green plantations.

Lunch stopover is guaranteed, as you will arrive at the sector where the trekking will be done late in the evening for refreshment, dinner and a nap.

Day 2: Gorilla trekking.

At day break, you will enjoy energy giving cup of coffee, thereafter set off for registration and a pre trekking briefing at the park headquarters very early in the morning. This briefing lasts for about 30 minutes; with the park rangers explaining the trekking rules and regulations, allocating members to a gorilla family and then eventually the trekking begins. The very first search is often at the territory the creatures were seen the previous day, thereafter the path, sound and broken tree leaves are followed.

Following your trekking speed, the nature of the terrain, and the direction the Apes have taken, it may take approximately 1-7 hours to locate these relatives, plus an additional hour of taking photos and watching them play, feed, move and associate. After one hour, you will exit the park to the lodge for lunch and refreshments, like dinner and a nap sum up the day.

Day 3: Second day of Gorilla Trekking and Batwa pygmy encounter

This is a new day in the same jungle; but trekking a different gorilla family in the same sector. As it was the previous day, and so will it is this day. The morning welcomed with a cup of a hefty coffee, and then driving to the park headquarters for briefing and eventually trekking. Each gorilla family has a unique behavior, story and stays in separated territories.

The exercise can last for approximately 1-6 hours, plus a maximum of one extra hour for photos. Thereafter you will return to the park for lunch,  followed by a brief rest, before proceeding to mix and mingle with the Batwa cultural group; people who are not only ranked among the shortest persons in the world but also have spent majority of their lives at the fringes of the forest. The day comes to an end at sunset with dinner and a nap.

Day 4: Departure.

At sunrise, you will greet your intestines with a yummy cup of coffee and then check out of the lodge for a drive to the airport for your next destination or residence. Arrive at the point crossed by the equator, you will have a stopover to watch geographical demonstrations, take photos and then have lunch, before proceeding with a drive to the drop off point.
