When to Visit Rwanda

Perfect question: with the answer centering around when you have the vacation time, travel aspiration, and finances. Rwanda (land of a thousand hills) is open for visitors all year round, with tourist activities offered day and night, both indoor and outdoor. Rwanda is a tiny landlocked country; east of the continent of Africa, neighbored by Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania and The Democratic Republic of Congo.

Considering weather patterns; June to September and December to March are fairly dry, with slight rains, thus the most ideal seasons of travel and engaging in tourist activities. On the contrary, this season can’t favor budget travelers since prices of several packages, accommodation facilities and transport tends to be high.

Rainy Months; November – early December and late March to May are the best months for budget travelers because of the discounts and low prices offered on different services. These months are also good for bird watching and nature photography/videography.
