Detailed itinerary
Day 1: Travel to Zanzibar from Zanzibar Airport
Upon early arrival at Zanzibar International Airport, meet and greet your Zanzibar safari guide. He will also take you through what you should expect on this remarkable 5 days Zanzibar safari. After, drive to the lodge or hotel in Stone Town to refresh, dine and have a comfortable night stay.
Day 2: Go on guided walk through the Stone Town
Rise up early and enjoy a leisurely breakfast. After, set off to the historical Stone Town where you will navigate through the fabled Stone Town and this will be a whole day experience. Your tour includes visit to the House of Wonders, the palace Museum also popular as People’s Palace and Arab Fort.
Lunch break will be had at the nearby hotel and later, proceed to the Cathedral, Mosques and not to miss to visit the Zanzibar Market to grab some souvenirs. Later, get back to your accommodation of choice to have a refreshed evening, dinner and overnight stay.
Day 3: Tour the Spice Farm & Jozani Forest
Wake up early to be served a delicious breakfast. After, your next tour will include exploring the Spice and fruit plantations just near the historical Stone Town. You will have an in-depth experience on the spices and different herbs that were originally grown in this area. Interestingly, you will also have incredible taste of some of the spices and fruits.
Get lunch and then set off passing via Jozani Forest, a home to unique red colobus monkeys and many other species of monkeys. Have a chance to spot some of these interesting primates at Jozani Chwaka National Park. Return to relax at the beach before having dinner and overnight at the booked accommodation facility.
Day 4: Dolphin tour
After an early morning breakfast, embark on a dolphin tour experience. This excursion will include visiting the Kizimkazi Fishing Village where most of the bottle-nosed dolphins and humpback dolphins are inhabited.
You will have a glimpse at dolphins while on a short boat ride. You may also go swimming and get close to dolphins. Lunch will be offered in the afternoon and later, go chill at the beach.
Day 5: Return to Zanzibar Airport for departure
Have breakfast and after, transfer to Zanzibar Airport to catch up with your flight back home if at all it is scheduled today or drop off at the hotel/place of residence. This marks the end of your 5 days Zanzibar safari.
